21-8:9††††† All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt.
21-8:15†††† Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
21-8:17†††† Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
21-9:3††††† This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
21-9:6††††† Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
21-9:9††††† Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
21-9:11†††† I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
21-9:13†††† This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
21-10:5†††† There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
21-11:7†††† Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
21-12:2†††† While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:
22-1:6††††† Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my motherís children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
22-6:10†††† Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?
23-13:10††† For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
23-24:23††† Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
23-30:26††† Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
23-38:8†††† Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
23-41:25††† I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
23-45:6†††† That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
23-49:10††† They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
23-59:19††† So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
23-60:19††† The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
23-60:20††† Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
24-8:2††††† And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
24-15:9†††† She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
24-31:35††† Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
26-8:16†††† And he brought me into the inner court of the LORDíS house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
26-32:7†††† And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
27-6:14†††† Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
29-2:10†††† The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
29-2:31†††† The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
29-3:15†††† The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
30-8:9††††† And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
32-4:8††††† And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
33-3:6††††† Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
34-3:17†††† Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
35-3:11†††† The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
39-1:11†††† For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
39-4:2††††† But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
40-5:45†††† That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
40-13:6†††† And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
40-13:43††† Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
40-17:2†††† And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
40-24:29††† Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
41-1:32†††† And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
41-4:6††††† But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
41-13:24††† But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
41-16:2†††† And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
42-4:40†††† Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
42-21:25††† And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
42-23:45††† And the sun was darkened, and the vail of the temple was rent in the midst.
44-2:20†††† The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
44-13:11††† And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
44-26:13††† At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
44-27:20††† And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
46-15:41††† There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
49-4:26†††† Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
59-1:11†††† For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
66-1:16†††† And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
66-6:12†††† And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
66-7:16†††† They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
66-8:12†††† And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
66-9:2††††† And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
66-10:1†††† And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
66-12:1†††† And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
66-16:8†††† And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
66-19:17††† And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
66-21:23††† And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
66-22:5†††† And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
19-46:9†††† He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
19-107:14†† He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
19-107:16†† For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
23-27:9†††† By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
23-45:2†††† I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
34-1:13†††† For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
42-12:46††† The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
18-41:17††† They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
58-1:1††††† God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
23-26:1†††† In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
40-26:30††† And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
41-14:26††† And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
66-5:9††††† And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
66-14:3†††† And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
