01-19:31††† And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
01-19:32††† Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
01-19:33††† And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
01-19:34††† And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
01-19:35††† And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

01-26:15††† For all the wells which his fatherís servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.
01-26:18††† And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

01-27:10††† And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.
01-27:12††† My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
01-27:14††† And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.
01-27:18††† And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
01-27:19††† And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
01-27:22††† And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacobís voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
01-27:26††† And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
01-27:30††† And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.

01-31:42††† Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
01-31:53††† The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.

01-37:10††† And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?
01-37:11††† And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.
01-37:22††† And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

01-43:8†††† And Judah
01-43:11††† And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:
01-43:23††† And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.
01-43:27††† And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?
01-43:28††† And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.
01-44:17††† And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
01-44:19††† My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?
01-44:20††† And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.
01-44:22††† And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
01-44:24††† And it came to pass when we came up unto thy servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.
01-44:25††† And our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.
01-44:27††† And thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that my wife bare me two sons:
01-44:30††† Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the ladís life;
01-44:31††† It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.
01-44:32††† For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.
01-44:34††† For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.
01-45:3†††† And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
01-45:8†††† So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
01-45:9†††† Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:
01-45:13††† And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
01-45:18††† And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
01-45:19††† Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
01-45:23††† And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
01-45:25††† And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,
01-45:27††† And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
01-46:1†††† And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
01-46:3†††† And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
01-46:5†††† And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
01-46:29††† And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
01-47:1†††† Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
01-47:5†††† And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:
01-47:6†††† The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.
01-47:7†††† And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
01-47:11††† And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
01-47:12††† And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fatherís household, with bread, according to their families.
01-48:1†††† And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
01-48:9†††† And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.
01-48:17††† And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his fatherís hand, to remove it from Ephraimís head unto Manassehís head.
01-48:18††† And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
01-48:19††† And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
01-49:2†††† Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
01-49:25††† Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
01-49:26††† The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
01-49:28††† All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
01-50:2†††† And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel.
01-50:5†††† My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.
01-50:6†††† And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury thy father, according as he made thee swear.
01-50:7†††† And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,
01-50:10††† And they came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days.
01-50:14††† And Joseph returned into Egypt, he, and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father.
01-50:15††† And when Josephís brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.
01-50:16††† And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,
01-50:17††† So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
02-2:18†††† And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?
02-3:1††††† Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
02-3:6††††† Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
02-4:18†††† And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.
02-18:1†††† When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Mosesí father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;
02-18:2†††† Then Jethro, Mosesí father in law, took Zipporah, Mosesí wife, after he had sent her back,
02-18:4†††† And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:
02-18:5†††† And Jethro, Mosesí father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:
02-18:6†††† And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.
02-18:7†††† And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.
02-18:8†††† And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israelís sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.
02-18:12††† And Jethro, Mosesí father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Mosesí father in law before God.
02-18:14††† And when Mosesí father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?
02-18:15††† And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:
02-18:17††† And Mosesí father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.
02-18:24††† So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.
02-18:27††† And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.
02-20:12††† Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
02-21:15††† And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
02-21:17††† And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
02-22:17††† If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
02-40:15††† And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priestís office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
03-18:7†††† The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
03-18:9†††† The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
03-18:11††† The nakedness of thy fatherís wifeís daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
03-19:3†††† Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.
03-20:9†††† For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
03-21:2†††† But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
03-21:9†††† And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
03-21:11††† Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
03-24:10††† And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

09-20:12††† And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;
09-20:13††† The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.
09-20:32††† And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?

09-23:17††† And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.
09-24:11††† Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.

10-17:8†††† For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
10-17:10††† And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
10-17:23††† And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.
10-19:37††† Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

11-2:26†††† And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
11-2:31†††† And the king said unto him, Do as he hath said, and fall upon him, and bury him; that thou mayest take away the innocent blood, which Joab shed, from me, and from the house of my father.
11-2:32†††† And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing thereof, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.
11-2:44†††† The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thine heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore the LORD shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head;
11-3:3††††† And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
11-3:6††††† And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
11-3:7††††† And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
11-3:14†††† And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
11-5:1††††† And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.
11-5:3††††† Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.
11-5:5††††† And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
11-6:12†††† Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:
11-7:14†††† He was a widowís son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
11-7:51†††† So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.
11-8:15†††† And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
11-8:17†††† And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
11-8:18†††† And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
11-8:20†††† And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
11-8:24†††† Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
11-8:25†††† Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
11-8:26†††† And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
11-9:4††††† And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
11-9:5††††† Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
11-11:4†††† For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
11-11:6†††† And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
11-11:27††† And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.
11-11:33††† Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
11-11:43††† And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
11-12:4†††† Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.
11-12:6†††† And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?
11-12:9†††† And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?
11-12:10††† And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my fatherís loins.
11-12:11††† And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
11-12:14††† And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
11-13:11††† Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
11-13:12††† And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
11-15:3†††† And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
11-15:11††† And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.
11-15:15††† And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.
11-15:19††† There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
11-15:24††† And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
11-15:26††† And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
11-19:20††† And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
11-20:34††† And Benhadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
11-22:43††† And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
11-22:46††† And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.
11-22:50††† And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
11-22:52††† And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
11-22:53††† For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.

12-3:2††††† And he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.
12-3:13†††† And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

12-5:13†††† And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
12-6:21†††† And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
12-9:25†††† Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

12-13:25††† And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
12-14:3†††† And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.
12-14:5†††† And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.
12-14:21††† And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

12-20:5†††† Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
12-21:3†††† For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

14-6:4††††† And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,
14-6:7††††† Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
14-6:8††††† But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:
14-6:10†††† The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
14-6:15†††† Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
14-6:16†††† Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
14-7:17†††† And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
14-7:18†††† Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
14-8:14†††† And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
14-9:31†††† And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

14-10:6†††† And king Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give ye me to return answer to this people?
14-10:9†††† And he said unto them, What advice give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us?
14-10:10††† And the young men that were brought up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou answer the people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it somewhat lighter for us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my fatherís loins.
14-10:11††† For whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you, I will put more to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
14-10:14††† And answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
14-15:18††† And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
14-16:3†††† There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
14-17:2†††† And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
14-17:3†††† And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;
14-17:4†††† But sought to the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
14-20:32††† And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.
14-21:3†††† And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.
14-21:4†††† Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.
14-21:12††† And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,
14-22:4†††† Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.
14-24:22††† Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he said, The LORD look upon it, and require it.

14-27:2†††† And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
14-28:1†††† Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:
14-29:2†††† And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.
14-33:3†††† For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
14-33:22††† But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;
14-33:23††† And humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.
14-34:2†††† And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.
14-34:3†††† For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.
17-2:7††††† And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncleís daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

19-89:26††† He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
19-103:13†† Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
20-1:8††††† My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
20-3:12†††† For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
20-4:1††††† Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
20-10:1†††† The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

20-17:25††† A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.
20-19:13††† A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.
20-19:26††† He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.
20-20:20††† Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
20-23:22††† Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
20-23:24††† The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
20-23:25††† Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
20-28:7†††† Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
20-28:24††† Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

23-3:6††††† When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
23-8:4††††† For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
23-9:6††††† For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
23-22:21††† And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
23-38:5†††† Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
23-38:19††† The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
23-43:27††† Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
23-45:10††† Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
23-51:2†††† Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
23-58:14††† Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
23-63:16††† Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
23-64:8†††† But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
24-2:27†††† Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
24-3:4††††† Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?
24-3:19†††† But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
24-12:6†††† For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.
24-16:7†††† Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
24-20:15††† Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
24-22:11††† For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
24-22:15††† Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
24-31:9†††† They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
24-35:6†††† But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:
24-35:8†††† Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;
24-35:10††† But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
24-35:16††† Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:
24-35:18††† And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:
26-16:3†††† And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
26-16:45††† Thou art thy motherís daughter, that loatheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
26-18:4†††† Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
26-18:17††† That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
26-18:18††† As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.
26-18:19††† Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
26-18:20††† The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
26-22:7†††† In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
26-44:25††† And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves.

27-5:11†††† There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;
27-5:13†††† Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?
27-5:18†††† O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
30-2:7††††† That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
33-7:6††††† For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a manís enemies are the men of his own house.
38-13:3†††† And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
39-1:6††††† A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
39-2:10†††† Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

40-4:22†††† And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
40-5:16†††† Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
40-5:45†††† That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
40-5:48†††† Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
40-6:1††††† Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
40-6:4††††† That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
40-6:6††††† But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
40-6:8††††† Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
40-6:9††††† After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
40-6:14†††† For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
40-6:15†††† But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
40-6:18†††† That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
40-6:26†††† Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
40-6:32†††† (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
40-7:11†††† If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
40-7:21†††† Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
40-8:21†††† And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

40-10:37††† He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
40-11:25††† At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
40-11:26††† Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
40-11:27††† All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
40-12:50††† For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
40-13:43††† Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
40-15:4†††† For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
40-15:5†††† But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
40-15:6†††† And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
40-15:13††† But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
40-16:17††† And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
40-16:27††† For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
40-18:10††† Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
40-18:14††† Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
40-18:19††† Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
40-18:35††† So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
40-19:5†††† And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
40-19:19††† Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40-19:29††† And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my nameís sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
40-20:23††† And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
40-21:31††† Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
40-23:9†††† And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
40-24:36††† But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
40-25:34††† Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
40-26:39††† And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40-26:42††† He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
40-26:53††† Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
40-28:19††† Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
41-1:20†††† And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
41-5:40†††† And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41-7:10†††† For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
41-7:11†††† But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
41-7:12†††† And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
41-8:38†††† Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
41-9:21†††† And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
41-9:24†††† And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
41-10:7†††† For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
41-10:19††† Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
41-10:29††† And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospelís,
41-11:10††† Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
41-11:25††† And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
41-11:26††† But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
41-13:12††† Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
41-13:32††† But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

42-1:59†††† And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
42-1:62†††† And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
42-1:67†††† And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
42-1:73†††† The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
42-2:48†††† And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
42-3:8††††† Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
42-6:36†††† Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

42-9:59†††† And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
42-10:21††† In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
42-10:22††† All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
42-11:2†††† And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
42-11:11††† If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
42-11:13††† If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
42-12:30††† For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
42-12:53††† The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
42-14:26††† If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
42-15:12††† And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
42-15:18††† I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
42-15:20††† And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
42-15:21††† And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
42-15:22††† But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
42-15:27††† And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
42-15:28††† And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
42-15:29††† And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
42-16:24††† And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
42-16:27††† Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my fatherís house:
42-16:30††† And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
42-18:20††† Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
42-22:29††† And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
42-22:42††† Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
42-23:34††† Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
42-23:46††† And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
42-24:49††† And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
43-1:14†††† And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
43-1:18†††† No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
43-3:35†††† The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
43-4:12†††† Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
43-4:21†††† Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
43-4:23†††† But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
43-4:53†††† So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
43-5:17†††† But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
43-5:18†††† Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
43-5:19†††† Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
43-5:20†††† For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
43-5:21†††† For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
43-5:22†††† For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
43-5:23†††† That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
43-5:26†††† For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
43-5:30†††† I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
43-5:36†††† But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
43-5:37†††† And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
43-5:45†††† Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
43-6:27†††† Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
43-6:32†††† Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
43-6:37†††† All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
43-6:42†††† And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43-6:44†††† No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
43-6:45†††† It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
43-6:46†††† Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
43-6:57†††† As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
43-6:65†††† And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
43-8:16†††† And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
43-8:18†††† I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
43-8:19†††† Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
43-8:27†††† They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
43-8:28†††† Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
43-8:29†††† And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
43-8:38†††† I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
43-8:39†††† They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abrahamís children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
43-8:41†††† Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
43-8:42†††† Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43-8:44†††† Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
43-8:49†††† Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
43-8:53†††† Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
43-8:54†††† Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
43-8:56†††† Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
43-10:15††† As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
43-10:17††† Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
43-10:18††† No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
43-10:29††† My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fatherís hand.
43-10:30††† I and my Father are one.
43-10:32††† Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
43-10:36††† Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
43-10:37††† If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
43-10:38††† But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
43-11:41††† Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
43-12:26††† If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
43-12:27††† Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
43-12:28††† Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
43-12:49††† For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
43-12:50††† And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
43-13:1†††† Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
43-13:3†††† Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
43-14:6†††† Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
43-14:7†††† If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
43-14:8†††† Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
43-14:9†††† Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
43-14:10††† Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
43-14:11††† Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very worksí sake.
43-14:12††† Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
43-14:13††† And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
43-14:16††† And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
43-14:20††† At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
43-14:21††† He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
43-14:23††† Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
43-14:26††† But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
43-14:28††† Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
43-14:31††† But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
43-15:1†††† I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
43-15:8†††† Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
43-15:9†††† As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
43-15:15††† Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
43-15:16††† Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
43-15:23††† He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
43-15:24††† If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
43-15:26††† But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
43-16:3†††† And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
43-16:10††† Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
43-16:15††† All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
43-16:16††† A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
43-16:17††† Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
43-16:23††† And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
43-16:25††† These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
43-16:26††† At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
43-16:27††† For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
43-16:28††† I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
43-16:32††† Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
43-17:1†††† These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
43-17:5†††† And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
43-17:11††† And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
43-17:21††† That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
43-17:24††† Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
43-17:25††† O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
43-18:11††† Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
43-18:13††† And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
43-20:17††† Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
43-20:21††† Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
44-1:4††††† And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
44-1:7††††† And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
44-2:33†††† Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
44-7:2††††† And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
44-7:4††††† Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
44-7:14†††† Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
44-7:16†††† And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
44-16:1†††† Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
44-16:3†††† Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
44-28:8†††† And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
45-1:7††††† To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
45-4:1††††† What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
45-4:11†††† And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
45-4:12†††† And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
45-4:16†††† Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
45-4:17†††† (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
45-4:18†††† Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
45-6:4††††† Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
45-8:15†††† For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
45-9:10†††† And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
45-15:6†††† That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
46-1:3††††† Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
46-8:6††††† But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
46-15:24††† Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
47-1:2††††† Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
47-1:3††††† Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
47-6:18†††† And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
47-11:31††† The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
48-1:1††††† Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
48-1:3††††† Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
48-1:4††††† Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
48-4:2††††† But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
48-4:6††††† And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
49-1:2††††† Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
49-1:3††††† Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
49-1:17†††† That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
49-2:18†††† For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
49-3:14†††† For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
49-4:6††††† One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
49-5:20†††† Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
49-5:31†††† For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
49-6:2††††† Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
49-6:23†††† Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
50-1:2††††† Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
50-2:11†††† And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
50-2:22†††† But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
50-4:20†††† Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
51-1:2††††† To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
51-1:3††††† We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
51-1:12†††† Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
51-1:19†††† For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

52-1:3††††† Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
52-2:11†††† As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

56-1:4††††† To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
57-1:3††††† Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
58-1:5††††† For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
58-7:3††††† Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
58-7:10†††† For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
58-12:7†††† If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
58-12:9†††† Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
59-1:17†††† Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

60-1:3††††† Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
60-1:17†††† And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every manís work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
61-1:17†††† For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
62-1:2††††† (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
62-1:3††††† That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
62-2:1††††† My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
62-2:13†††† I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
62-2:15†††† Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
