his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.
01-42:5†††† And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the
famine was in the land of Canaan.
01-42:7†††† And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew
them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he

by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against
Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
05-20:17††† But thou
shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the
Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites;
as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:
06-3:10†††† And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall
know that the living God is among
you, and that he will without fail drive
out from before you the Canaanites,
and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and
the Amorites, and the Jebusites.

not drive out the inhabitants of those
cities; but the Canaanites
would dwell in that land.
06-17:13††† Yet it came to pass, when the
children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them
06-17:16††† And the children of Joseph said, The
hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have
chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
06-17:18††† But the mountain shall be thine; for
it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it
down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron
chariots, and though they be strong.
06-24:11††† And ye went over Jordan, and came
unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the
Perizzites, and the Canaanites,
and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I
delivered them into your hand.
07-1:1††††† Now after the death of Joshua it
came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go
up for us against the Canaanites
first, to fight against them?
07-1:3††††† And Judah said unto Simeon his
brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go
with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.
07-1:4††††† And Judah went up; and the LORD
delivered the Canaanites
and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand
07-1:5††††† And they found Adonibezek in Bezek:
and they fought against him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
07-1:9††††† And afterward the children of Judah
went down to fight against the Canaanites, that dwelt in the mountain, and in the
south, and in the valley.
07-1:10†††† And Judah went against the Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron:

and they slew Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai.

that inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. And the name of the city was

07-1:28†††† And it came to pass, when Israel was
strong, that they put the Canaanites
to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out.
07-1:29†††† Neither did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but
dwelt in Gezer among them.
07-1:30†††† Neither did Zebulun drive out the
inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites dwelt among them, and
07-1:32†††† But the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the
land: for they did not drive them out.
07-1:33†††† Neither did Naphtali drive out the
inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath; but he dwelt
among the Canaanites,
the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of
Bethanath became tributaries unto them.

07-3:5††††† And the children of Israel dwelt
among the Canaanites,
Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
10-24:7†††† And came to the strong hold of Tyre,
and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba.

15-9:1††††† Now when these things were done,
